Hey guys! I’m Heather!
Welcome to The Primary Party! I am so excited you are here to follow along with my teaching journey!
I am 5th grade teacher with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Applied Psychology and Human Development and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Boston College. Go Eagles! I have taught both kindergarten and fourth grade in the past few years. My classroom is full of life, learning, and lots of laughter. I am a firm believer in building relationships with my students, that a chatty classroom means students are learning, in letting kids be kids, and in finding fun and exciting ways to promote learning. I believe that students should be actively engaged in their learning and that they learn best from experiences. There is never a dull moment in my room and that’s just how we like it!
When I’m not in my classroom, you can find me outdoors, at spin, shopping (at Target, Homegoods, TJ Maxx…okay, really anywhere), traveling, or trying new restaurants! I am lucky to live in a city with plenty to do and I enjoy taking advantage of all that Boston has to offer.
My goal here is to share easy and engaging activities, tips and tricks, and new ideas with you!
