This year, I’m teaching 5th grade. My goal for the year was to create a calming, comfortable classroom that allowed for student choice with flexible seating. Materials are easily accessible to promote independence and organization for students. Here are a few snapshots of my room.
Here are a few peeks into my previous kindergarten and 4th grade classrooms. Both are functional spaces that promote student independence. Things have a place in the room and students know those places, so materials are easily accessible without teacher help! I strive to make my classrooms welcoming for all students and to provide spaces around that room that are conducive to learning in a space that works for each and every student! Take a look around:
